Summary

CAD refers to the creation of 2D drawings or 3D objects through sketching, drawing, and design work using computer graphics software.

Punch card machines were being used for engineering analysis in the early 1950s before GM (an American automobile company) and IBM(a computer company) released DAC-1 (Design Augmented by Computer), the world's first computer graphics-based CAD program in 1963.

Since then, it has developed rapidly and now dozens of commercial 2D CAD programs such as AutoCAD and Midas IT's midas CAD are available in the market.

midas CAD is a 2D CAD software loaded with various functions for creating drawings.

  • Drawing tool: tools for drawing various shapes.
(Straight lines, polylines, polygons, rectangles, arcs, circles, donuts, splines, solids, hatches, etc.)
  • Dimension tool: tools that draw dimensions representing the length, angle, etc. of a shape.
(Linear dimensions, aligned dimensions, arc dimensions, 2.5D dimensions, etc.)
  • Other tools : tools to set elements that make up drawings other than shape and dimensions.
(drawing style, material table creation, representative rebar settings, etc.)

In addition, it has a feature using which the above various functions can be easily entered through the command input system at the bottom of the program.
